We're excited for spring. After amending the soil for my garden I felt inspired to create these copper garden spade earrings. They personify the feeling of working hard, planting the seeds, and then sending all the grow and bloom vibes you can to your plants. Every gardener can relate to those feelings and the joy of the first seedlings spring up. These earrings are the perfect gift for a gardener made by a metalsmithing gardener with a shared joy of plants.

The copper spades were hand cut with my jeweler's saw in my home studio before being textured and formed on my anvil. The words bloom and grow have been added to the shovel as those are the words I whisper to my plants daily. They have been oxidized and sealed with Renaissance Wax to slow the oxidation process. Suspended from two sterling silver hand crafted ear wires these adorable spring earrings hang at approximately 3 inches, while the spades measure approximately .75 at their widest point. These are fun statement earrings make a great gift to yourself or your favorite gardener. These earrings are made-to-order so each pair will vary slightly.
